The extensive experience of our senior management has been gained in private, state and local government sectors.

Our senior management has substantial experience and expertise in all facets of traffic engineering and transport planning, road safety planning and engineering, parking management and strategy development, and development impact assessment for land use development.

Each member regularly appears as an expert witness at VCAT and Panel Hearings on various land use proposals.

Our directors have diverse skills, expertise and interests which ensures our company is well equipped to tackle the wide variety of issues presented in transport and land use projects.


 
Henry Turnbull

Managing Director


Henry commenced his career with the Country Roads Board of Victoria and worked both in traffic and road design as well as major construction. He brings this practical experience to his traffic engineering consulting.

Henry is the longest serving sessional member of Planning Panels Victoria having been first appointed in 1982. He is an inaugural member of the Priority Development Panel established by the Minister for Planning in September 2004.

He is a former President and Life Fellow of the Victorian Planning & Environmental Law Association and a past Chairman of Planning Victoria

Henry regularly appears as an expert witness at VCAT, Panel Hearings and other Courts.



 
Charmaine Dunstan

Charmaine has substantial consulting experience in transport and traffic engineering which has been gained across an extensive range of transport related projects for government and private clients. Within her consulting role, Charmaine has also completed a number of short-term appointments as a Transport Co-ordinator or Senior Traffic Engineer within local government.

Charmaine has specialist skills in LATM, parking management and strategy development and community consultation. She has also developed specialist expertise in road safety planning, research and engineering, including an understanding of behavioural, promotional and engineering issues in road safety planning.

Charmaine manages Traffix Placements which provides traffic engineers on short to medium-term contracts to Local and State Government authorities. She is also responsible for professional development and training of company staff.

Charmaine also leads our Traffix Survey team, which provides a complete range of data collection services to support traffic and transportation planning projects.

Notably, Charmaine was awarded the National Young Professional Engineer Award in 2002 by Engineers Australia in recognition of her high level of achievement and involvement in engineering.




 
Will de Waard

Will commenced his career in local government and brings his substantial traffic engineering and design experience gained at various municipalities in metropolitan Melbourne.

As a traffic engineering consultant, Will has worked on an extensive range of transport related projects for government and private clients.

Will is a VicRoads accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor and regularly undertakes Road Safety Audits for private sector, Local Government and State Government clients.

Will leads our Traffix Design team and prides himself on developing innovative and practical solutions to traffic engineering problems.




 
Don Robertson

Director

Don has substantial traffic engineering and transport planning experience as a consultant and has specialist skills in the traffic planning for land use development.

Don commenced his career at the RTA followed by traffic engineering, design and infrastructure roles at local government authorities in Victoria and Queensland.

He regularly appears as an expert witness at VCAT and Panel Hearings on various land use proposals.
